KC Pools builds two types of quality pools: fiberglass and vinyl liner. As a Latham Grand Dealer, you will have access to all of sizes, shapes, colors and features for both fiberglass and vinyl pools. Both options provide you the customization so you can have your dream pool. The professional staff at KC Pools can work with you to add additional features such as spas, heaters, fountains, bubblers, deck jets, laminars, fibre optic lights, and much more.
Fiberglass is a strong, lightweight material that is constructed by weaving small glass threads into fabric and hardening the fabric with a special polyester resin. A weather-resistant gel is added to the resin for a smooth finish.Fiberglass pools don’t require periodic surface re-plastering or liner replacement. Unlike concrete pools, fiberglass pools can be installed even in cold weather. Both chlorine and saltwater filters can be used with fiberglass pools. The smooth surface of the fiberglass pool means that you won’t have to worry about scrapes or abrasions from contact with the sides or bottom of the pool. Fiberglass pools have a shock absorbing capability and can flex one to two feet. In the midwest where we have extreme expansion and contraction, buying a pool that can move without cracking is a wise investment.
A vinyl liner pool has a custom made sheet of vinyl between the water and the pool structure. Vinyl liners typically lock their top edge, called a bead, into a track located on the bottom of the coping, which is at deck level. Underneath the liner is a cement-like floor called 'Pool Krete‘, specified in dimension to the “cut” of the liner that is to be used. The floors come up to meet the walls, which are commonly panels made of polymer. These walls are supported from behind so that they won’t bow out against the weight of the water. All of the wall panels are secured together to make up the perimeter shape of the swimming pool.
A swimming pool can offer hours of enjoyment, but it adds value to your property as well. KC Pools works with local lenders to offer pool financing options for you to finance your backyard dream.
