Poolscapes by Esther Williams builds two types of quality pools: fiberglass and vinyl liner.

Fiberglass in-ground swimming pools provide a convenient recreation option in your own backyard. The pools come in any size and shape and can be bought with a spa option. Pools can be heated to extend the swimming season and can be installed with fiber optic lights for night swimming.

A vinyl liner pool has a custom made sheet of vinyl between the water and the pool structure. Vinyl liners typically lock their top edge, called a bead, into a track located on the bottom of the coping, which is at deck level. Underneath the liner is a cement-like floor called ‘Poolcrete’, specified in dimension to the “cut” of the liner that is to be used. The floors come up to meet the walls, which are commonly panels made of polymer. These walls are supported from behind so that they won’t bow out against the weight of the water. All of the wall panels are secured together to make up the perimeter shape of the swimming pool.

Financing Available

A swimming pool can offer hours of enjoyment, but it adds value to your property as well. Poolscapes by Esther Williams works with local lenders to offer pool financing options for you to finance your backyard dream.

Fiberglass pools are molded pools that are installed in your yard in one piece. Fiberglass is a strong, lightweight material that is constructed by weaving small glass threads into fabric and hardening the fabric with a special polyester resin. A weather-resistant gel is added to the resin for a smooth finish.

Because there are no pits in the pool’s surface as there may be in concrete pools, fiberglass pools are more resistant to algae formation and maintain more stable pH levels. The smooth surface also reduces the need to run the pool filter as there is less resistance on the surface of the water.

Fiberglass pools don’t require periodic surface replastering or liner replacement. Unlike concrete pools, fiberglass pools can be installed even in cold weather. Both chlorine and saltwater filters can be used with fiberglass pools.

The smooth surface of the fiberglass pool means that you won’t have to worry about scrapes or abrasions from contact with the sides or bottom of the pool. Fiberglass pools have a shock absorbing capability and can flex one to two feet. In the midwest where we have extreme expansion and contraction, buying a pool that can move without cracking is a wise investment.

A Viking pool is built for strength and designed to perform. Every Viking pool is made from the highest grade fiberglass and ceramic materials, and undergoes a meticulous manufacturing process. You can literally see and feel the difference in its multi-layered construction and non-porous surface.

This results in a pool that is as durable as it is beautiful. When it comes to your pool, you deserve the best. Depend on the proven performance of a Viking pool, durability that lasts a lifetime.

There are many advantages to installing a vinyl liner pool.  You will never have to repaint or re-plaster a vinyl pool. A vinyl liner makes all surfaces of your pool smooth. Because of the flexibility with the walls, a vinyl pool offers unlimited design options, sizes and shapes for your backyard. A vinyl pool is also less expensive than a fiberglass pool or concrete pool.

Vinyl liners are not limited in colors and patterns as they used to be. Over time, changing the liner will dramatically improve the visual effect of your pool. The cost of the liner will depend on its shape, size, thickness, and pattern choice.

As in all inground pools, a variety of features may be added to your vinyl pool including spas, waterfalls, decking, laminar jets, lighting effects and pool heaters.
